Today, Sheriff Atkinson and other Sheriffs across the state attended the bridge dedication for the late Anson County Sheriff Landric Reid. The late Sheriff Reid served Anson County as sheriff at the time of his passing in 2022.

Sheriff Atkinson welcomes F/Sgt. K. Howald back to Troop C, District 1. She served several years in Edgecombe as a Trooper before moving to the training division. She has returned as the First Sergeant, serving Edgecombe and Nash counties. Welcome F/Sgt. Howald.

Today, Sheriff Atkinson dropped by the Rocky Mount Event Center to appreciate ECSO, basketball officials, teams, and citizens. Everyone was having a great time!

Today, Detention Lt. T. Cohen, Lt. B. Knight, and Officer B. Ricks represented ECSO in the continued partnership with the SOAR re-entry program. We fully support citizens who have made poor decisions in the past to help them get a second chance.
