EXC: A newly-elected Lib Dem councillor in Edinburgh has quit after her house was put up for sale one day after winning as a "local" champion.
Louise Spence has resigned after a week and after a Record investigation.

Cllr Marco Biagi has announced his resignation from the Council to take up another position. While we are sad to lose his dedication and expertise, we are excited for his next chapter. He will be greatly missed by colleagues and constituents alike. More to follow.

Edinburgh Forth and Linlithgow:
HOO BOY! Just Linlithgow and Broxburn from current Lith seat, gains Almond ward from Edinburgh. 2021 terms quite comfortably SNP. But Almond was strongest ward for ANY party in 2022 - in 2026, eminently winnable for Lib Dems. Hence, ACH laughing.
ALT Edinburgh Forth and Linlithgow estimated 2021 result. SNP 16,291 (40.0%), Lib Dem 12,896 (31.6%), Conservative 5,759 (14.1%), Labour 5,734 (14.1%), Others 98 (0.2%)
