The Monkey Brush Vine, Combretum rotundifolium, is blooming! This plant produces clusters of flowers with stamens ranging in color from yellow to deep orange along the tips of its branches. The flowers resemble the bristles of a brush, which is where the common name originated.

The Desert Rose (Adenium obesum) is known for its vibrant, fragrant flowers, which are typically red or pink. It is unique for its thick, succulent trunk and thin, delicate leaves. The Desert Rose is native to Africa, the Middle East, and Madagascar. #blooming

Merry Christmas to all of our community friends, visitors, and members! Thomas & Mina Edison only spent one Christmas at Seminole Lodge in 1929. Mr. Edison was immersed in work in the 1928 Edison Botanic Research laboratory, while Mina Edison worked on community holiday projects.
