The Green Bay Packers drafted a WR once in the first round during the last 5 drafts which included several 1st round picks. They love to address the defensive front 7 with their 1st round picks. Not OL, not WR, not TE. They draft very good OL and WR with the mid round picks.

Trading Waddle doesn’t mean the Dolphins are tanking. Remember when Sullivan said it starts with the QB? That is Willis. If Willis plays well, they draft an elite player next year in a deep draft or trade that pick for lots of picks in a QB heavy draft.

Elliot Anderson should pick Manchester United over Manchester City. United will be ahead of City next year if they sign Diomande, 2 good CMs and a LB.

Willis and Fitzpatrick are not the same QB and I don’t mean their game; but their potential and why a team thinks Willis can be good. Willis made some big time throws that are elite and has potential to be a good QB like Darnold. If he does well with a good roster then this team can win 9 games. Fitzpatrick with a good roster still wouldn’t win 9 games. He always had 4 great games a season while getting to 5 wins. Willis also can scramble which helps the OL and the ability to score points. Nearly all the good teams this year had QBs that can scramble.

Dolphins may sign Walker and a WR like Doubs or Bourne. Many teams that needed a LB got their guy. Walker is still available and that may be due to the Dolphins trying to extend their current players to make cap space. I do not think the Dolphins are in rebuild either. That team got a new QB and somehow it’s a rebuild? That same roster nearly had 9 wins last year. People are calling this a rebuild because they are replacing a QB with a lot of cap space. That isn’t a rebuild. They have too many good players at key positions to call it a rebuild.

Sonny Styles is going in the top 10. Cincinnati needs every position on defense so unless Downs is there, I don’t see them passing on Styles.

I don’t think Harbaugh will sign with the Dolphins because they don’t have salary cap space, a QB or a good roster. Harbaugh is not going to go into the season with Ewers as his QB. Outside of Mendoza, the QBs that will be available for the Dolphins to draft aren’t that much better than Ewers. OC Kubiak is the perfect coach for this team based on similar offense, players, and the patience to go with Ewers and if needed draft a QB in 2027. That will also clear up the cap space and allow Miami to draft BPA this year. This draft isn’t strong with superstars but there are a lot of good players who will be very good.

McDaniel hasn’t done well without Tua at QB. All back up QBs have struggled in McDaniel offense. Tua hasn’t played well for 2 seasons. The Dolphins need a new QB that can lead and carry the team similar to Allen or Rodgers, etc. without being a system QB! Is McDaniel offense based on a QB that excels at timing like Tua? If so, McDaniel will struggle as a Head Coach or play caller if he doesn’t create a new offensive system. His offensive system should be built around the run game because he is very creative with it, not his passing game. The Steelers offense was check downs and running the ball while McDaniel is still focusing on a vertical offense in the middle of the field. To have a passing game near the sidelines you need a QB with a strong arm.

If you can’t throw the ball or run the ball to score, then run the tush push. Every team that lacks creativity and can’t run an offense uses the tush push.

The Miami Dolphins remind me of the Panthers with C. McCaffrey. The RB carries the team while the QB is playing below average. The Miami Dolphins need to draft a QB in round 1.
