The red ribbon symbolizes the “en”—the bonds—between the characters of Okami and the community, bringing together Amaterasu and the game’s distinctive cast in a vibrant, tightly composed illustration. The calligraphy character for “en” (“縁”) featured in the artwork was gracefully penned by calligrapher Masumi Narita, who also designed the Okami logo.
