Most people who say it has no depth either auto-battle everything or never touched endgame.
Endgame modes like Memory of Chaos or Apocalyptic Shadow punish bad rotations hard 1-2 speed difference or wrong target priority = fail.
You can hate kits or story but the turn based system has indeed depth, you are judging it by surface.

As I have said so many times, the Wuthering Waves community is the most insecure community in the entire gacha space.
You will see several comments in Genshin streams or Genshin CC videos stating "Wuthering Waves is better" by a huge margin. They are like certified dogs barking all the time 😭😭.
