Free fares for youth, electric vehicle goals by 2030, electric ferries, salmon culverts, and the largest transit investments we have ever made as a state. No plan is perfect, yet this one gets a lot right. #waleg #MoveAheadWA #TransitLove

Ya'll, our LAs and legislative staff are the real MVPs. Without them, I cannot do my work for the 37th. Solidarity for this basic right, the right to organize for better work conditions. We gotta make this right. Right now. Solidarity is action, and I will continue to act ✊🏽

Today we passed HB2050 out of the House to end the practice of Parent Pay! Since 1977, if the state or county incarcerate youth, the family is charged $$$. Putting that family in undue debt. Excited to get this all the way to signing; next stop Senate πŸ™ŒπŸΎ

Honored to serve with Rep Jamila Taylor, the Chair of the WA State Legislative Black Caucus. Her leadership has been transformative. And she is good, honest people βœŠπŸ½πŸ’›πŸ’šβ€πŸ–€ #AskWALeg #WALeg #PuttingPeopleFirst
#AskWALeg Who is one other rep/senator that you work with that you really admire, and why should people be giving them kudos?

We go where our neighbors are πŸ™πŸ½ We had 100s of zoom meetings with elders, youth, and community members. Nothing about us, without us is how we do the work #AskWALeg #WALeg #PuttingPeopleFirst

As a Black, queer woman - who is also a mom and abolitionist; I know our community is why we do this. Their hurts are my hurts, their triumphs are also my triumphs. So for me, it is all about doing right by the people πŸ™πŸ½ #AskWALeg #WALeg #PuttingPeopleFirst
#AskWaLeg How has one of your identities or experiences in life affected how you make decisions on our local laws? #waleg

Thank you @SenSaldana for your leadership on UI for our immigrant and refugee neighbors! Very excited to support this work from @weareoneamerica πŸ™πŸ½ #AskWALeg #WALeg #PuttingPeopleFirst
People in Washington are struggling to make ends meet and need immediate relief. One way to do that is creating an unemployment fund for undocumented communities. What are you doing to make sure we get cash - right now - directly to the people who need it most? #AskWaleg

This is moving in the House! Doing it for our little ones and their future πŸ€— #AskWALeg #WALeg #PuttingPeopleFirst
Tons of research points to direct cash as a source of economic strength for individuals, families, communities & businesses. So #WaLeg: Who is for the WA Future Fund (Baby Bonds)? Guaranteed Basic Income? An equitable implementation of the #WAWorkingFamiliesTaxCredit? #AskWaLeg

You know I am all about @NoelFrame's HB1406, the first state-level Wealth Tax proposal ever introduced! Look forward to seeing this bill move in the Senate πŸ™ŒπŸΎ#AskWALeg #WALeg #PuttingPeopleFirst
Our tax code is still the MOST upside-down in the country and Washington families can’t wait a minute longer for relief. Only 100 ultra-wealthy Washingtonians would pay this tax, but the money raised would fund public programs we all need. Who's voting yes on SB 5426? #AskWALeg

You know I am all in for housing solutions NOW. And these bills are the right kinds of solutions we should be championing πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ¬πŸ  #AskWALeg #WALeg #PuttingPeopleFirst
We need to end exclusionary zoning and build more homes of all types in all places across Washington. Rep @jessdbateman and @senmonadas have a fantastic proposal in HB1782 & SB5670. Can WA families count on your votes to pass it? #AskWaleg

The same pandemic that has devastated working families & communities has been a cash cow for the wealthy. How will you ensure pandemic profiteers in our state pay their fair share to rebuild our communities and economy? Do you support the Wealth Tax (HB 1406, SB 5624)? #askWAleg

A win after years of advocacy! Thank you to every neighbor - and so many here in the 37th - who fought for affirmative action and this Executive directive change in WA State. More equity in the workplace. More equity in our economy πŸ’› seattletimes.com/seattle-new…
