And while I like the guy and he is a great Senator, he arguably wasn’t the strongest candidate electorally and didn’t run the strongest campaign So do people actually believe he’s the 60/40 favorite against well-funded incumbent Jon Husted? This is a good point. Collins really hasn’t been touched yet. Meanwhile Platner has been nuked from orbit and he’s still leading in the polls (even if the margins are shrinking). If Platner runs a good campaign and hits Collins hard for her betrayal on Roe and other issues, you’d expect her favorables to nose dive even further.
