Just a quick 3D printed enclosure. Can anyone guess what this new product might be? šŸ¤”

Today I stumbled upon a member of the Xbox community wishing for my projects to end up on Aliexpress, so that's funšŸ˜…

I seriously think we, the retro community, need to just close source everything at this point. I cant imagine how hard it is to compete against businessmen on Aliexpress.

Some finishing touches coming this week and then I’ll kick off the first batch of the āš”ļøElectronLCDāš”ļø This is a perfect display for the Turbo Express, Sega Nomad, and any other LCD replacement needs. Natively supports RGBS inputs and tested with 3.5ā€ IPS and 4ā€ LCDs at 320x240. Sega Master System games are supported natively as well, unlike existing solutions on the market. This contains a powerful OSD menu system that allows users to carefully fine tune the driver board to their needs. The OSD can be interacted with via the buttons on the board or via buttons on the console that it is installed on. 640x480 and larger displays have not yet been tested, but should work. There is no line doubler or scaler technology of the ElectronLCD, so the received analog input is directly converted to an LCD output. VGA and YPbPr inputs are not currently supported, but will be developed with future updates. Huge thank you to @iFixRetro for all of his guidance and input throughout this project!

Oh my goodness. @ElectronShep ElectronLCD board not only supports the Sega Nomad, it supports the Turbo Express/PC Engine GT handheld while using a 3.5" IPS Screen. This is amazing.

Native support for 240p and 480i inputs with the LCDs that I will sell at release. The deinterlacing is a simple Bob deinterlace handled by the LCD display itself. Other LCDs may deinterlace or process 480i inputs differently, so individual testing would be needed

Here are some captures of the OSD menu that the user can access to tweak the driver board to their needs. This also contains preset modes for known good configurations!

It’s been a long time coming, but I’m nearly done with what I’m calling the āš”ļøElectronLCDāš”ļø This is a general purpose LCD driver for low resolution RGBS video inputs (specially designed for the Sega Nomad, but other video sources are accepted as well). Currently supports 3.5ā€ and 4ā€ displays (IPS and non-IPS) at 320x240p. A powerful OSD engine has been developed with individual setting options for modifying the video output as well as quickly switching to known-good presets. Thanks to @iFixRetro for all of your guidance throughout this project! If all goes well, then I’m expecting to have these available for purchase at the end of September.

I'm nearing a point where the Dreamcast adapter prototype I've been developing has all of the kinks worked out of it! It can switch between VGA and RGBs sources while accepting 480p, 480i, and 240p sources - all with effectively zero lag! What name would you all prefer? These follow the same naming style as my other video converter products.

WiiMini with ElectronAVE; I could have done a better job with the HDMI port, but otherwise it was pretty quick and easy! Thanks again @modzvilleusa for the phenomenal guide video; I've been sitting on this kit and Wii Mini since @ElectronShep first launched the kit šŸ˜…
Just uploaded a video installing an electron-ave HDMI kit into the wii mini! Much thanks to @SGirl0311 and @PCBWayOfficial for sponsoring this video! Video link in comments 🤘

Does anyone have a PAL-region Dreamcast that they'd be willing to sell or lend me for a couple weeks while I continue to develop this plug-and-play module? I want to make sure it's compatible with PAL resolutions!

āš”ļøUpdate on the Dreamcast project I've got going!āš”ļø You can see that the off-the-shelf Hyperkin converter generates a 480p HDMI output that has a 640x480p resolution (incorrect for the Dreamcast) whereas the module I'm developing properly handles the video to be 720x480p output. Those are when the Dreamcast is outputting via VGA. See @RetroRGB's awesome write-up on the Dreamcast for more information on this: retrorgb.com/dreamcast.html The final picture also shows the 720x480i output resolution via HDMI when operating the Dreamcast via its RGBs output mode. This might be the only direct-HDMI module available for the Dreamcast that outputs the proper resolutions??? I need some 240p games to further test that out... Any suggestions on games to test?

āš”ļøDreamcast Converter!āš”ļø I have a question for the community. Which type of HDMI converter would you like to see for the Dreamcast? I can't decide which of these is the more appealing option. A converter that accepts only 480p inputs that is lower cost (can't easily play games that do not support 480p) ...or... A converter that accepts 480p and 480i inputs that is slightly higher cost (can play all games, but latency and compatibility depends on the TV it's connected to) Both would be the same high quality conversion that you've come to expect from my products!
21% 480p (lower $)
79% 480p and 480i (higher $)

I'm having a lot of fun working with this console! I never had one of these as a kid, so it's been a whole new experience for me.

I really love this little adapter... There's nothing quite like the memories of gathering with friends for epic sessions of Golden Eye. This lets you connect to multiple TVs or capture cards, ensuring everyone can join in on the fun. electron-shepherd.com/produc…
