Crypto (BSV included) can only make things for the crypto believers. It's easy to make something the believers can be sold on. Making something normal people actually want? The halting problem will be solved first. -- rt12

BSV Browser is live. iOS: apps.apple.com/app/bsv-brows… Android: play.google.com/store/apps/d… It's a regular web browser — tabs, bookmarks, search — with a self-custodial BRC-100 wallet baked in. Source available: github.com/bsv-blockchain/bs…

Take one of those cheap Chinese cameras which are often pretty good if not for the malware, get decent firmware and software, add BSV-based timestamping and encrypted backups. Upsell a service to provide it out of the box. Have it audited from top to bottom by Trail of Bits. 2/4

Zero exposed unencrypted data. I'd buy several if reasonably priced. I hear people talk about things and I think AI can already fake that. It's in your interest to have AI integrate everything possible into the BSV timestamping and backups. It's already too late. 3/4

When nChain released a timestamping product, we scratched our heads that it was the best they could do. But it was too soon and we couldn't see the killer application coming. Watch your back, record your location and keep proof of where you are and what yoou do. 4/4 -- rt12

Want to integrate security cameras and other devices into your home? You have the choice of ill-fitting cloud connected junk or cheap Chinese devices often with infected malware. The cloud connected camera spies on you and yours and your neighbours and theirs. 1/4

If BSV is to get utility, it won't be because these long irrelevant topics mattered in any way to that outcome. Does blockchain have a use? A real use? Then BSV is as good, if not better, than the alternatives. But focusing on these topics occupies one, I support.
Spent some time sourcing my claims from this post into this week’s article! Learn about Adam Back, Peter Wuille and the other guys’ desire to raise the block size before reneging. coingeek.com/hijacking-bitco…

No-one wants their stuff tracked and controlled by the elites. We want to download stuff and use it locally without wacky limitations, we're tired of wacky limitations enforced by squinty eyed peons in some government office who want all our activity controlled and tracked.
You Don’t Own Your Digital Stuff. NFTs Could Actually Fix That — Without Intellectual Property. You don’t own your digital purchases. That “book” in your Kindle library? A revocable licence. That film in your streaming account? Permission, not property. That game you “bought”? Access, until terms of service change. In 2009, Amazon deleted copies of 1984 from devices. Not a glitch — the model. Digital commerce quietly replaced ownership with conditional access. NFTs promised a solution. Critics said: “Right-click save.” IP maximalists said: “Stronger copyright.” Both sides missed the point. Ownership isn’t about making information scarce. It’s about making access scarce. This piece explains the difference — and why it matters. open.substack.com/pub/singul…

These days you don't say "someone should" you get your $20 a month claude or codex to use yt-dlp to download the video and transcript, summarise it into topics then have it use ffmpeg to clip it and join the relevant parts up. And it's done before your coffee is ready.

I am not joking. Claude updated my yt-dlp install, fetched a transcript, read the details and then reviewed my code to see if it implemented what was described and told me how it should be and how it was already that. It used ffmpeg for audio conversion, when testing TTS.

Centbee had seed words. If wallet software you're not paying for, for blockchain, BSV or not, had seed words then you take your seed words to another wallet. Seed words are painful, they're not user-friendly, and they are a pervasive stink on blockchain. Or you can cry about it.
Too bad Centbee doesn’t work and finished and left many with bsv stuck. What’s the best option out if other 3?

I wouldn't use ElectrumSV. If I ever access my BSV I will download and use ElectrumSVP. If you want to stick with an unmaintained old application, you do you though.
You will miss out on all of the new features, and security enhancements. But your wallet will probably still work at least for a while, as long as you can avoid the recent server corruption bug.

At the end of the day we assume that what people thought was true about blockchain applications, was true. But like a lot of things, whether from blockchain experts, the news, politicians, they don't know any better either.
When BSV guys gets serious for a bit.

Today I opened Grok and asked it about the nChain masterclasses by Craig and whether the videos were still accessible somewhere I had missed. Grok informed me that they were not. Oh well.

1. Having worked with claude code on personal and professional projects I wish my esteemed coworker on ElectrumSV AustEcon and I had had it. Any developer who isn't using it to multiply the work they do is sleeping on it. Sadly AustEcon seems to have deleted his account. -- rt12

2. My typical workflow is to open one session and to negotiate with the LLM about what I want done, how the LLM thinks it should be done and the best way to do it. Then I watch the chat and interrupt it and course correct. Then I check the results and iterate. -- rt12

If you use an app and it timestamps your actions it should look just like the app that is not timestamping your actions. If the user has to enter seeds or addresses or refer to wacky egotistical protocols then you're lost in the weeds.

Everything you are do should be timestamped on the blockchain. Why isn't it? The same reason we don't use micropayments. To be acceptable it needs to be integrated into the apps you use day to day. Not sloppy knock off blockchain using proof of concepts.

I was hired to maintain it and work on it. nChain and Bitcoin Association provided you with the wallet. Thank Craig Wright, Calvin Ayres, Steve Shadders, Jimmy Nguyen, Patrick Prinz and so on. And Neil Booth.

Use ElectrumSVP, not ElectrumSV. It will be interesting to see someone else's vision in the form of ElectrumSVP. Remember recommending non technical people use traditional crypto wallets, is cursing them to pain and loss. You will know the devil by the sight of a BIP. -- rt12
