My most precious purchase by @Element_Lee on @objktcom I DM'd the artist years ago because his work touched me deeply. I'm happy to have finally made a purchase and I will keep this piece for myself according to the MQQ internship rules. Two passions of mine are weirdly combined in this work: Chinese painting and glitchy C64 games that don't actually work. The isometric/infinite perspective is of course a hallmark of Chines painting but I never really connected it to an "open world" third person game. This is the kind of fuck-you minimalist that demands respect. The three color palette is perfect. The clumsiness of the line work, the unapologetic way of suggesting shapes rather than spell them out or make them work with the pixel grid. The scale of it. Everything is perfect. A true masterpiece in my opinion, and I'm glad it has waiting for me.
