I wonder if San Jose was the team that offered her the FPO. Daniel played with Kristin O'Neill in 2019-20 and Rory Guilday for three seasons. While not quite as much of a defensive forward as O’Neill or Maddi Wheeler, she still seems like a fit with what Troy Ryan is building.

Before her time with the Sirens, Cherkowski spent four seasons at Clarkson, posting 30 points and 15 goals in her junior, senior, and grad seasons. She scored the opening goal in a 4-1 Frozen Four loss to Ohio State in 2024 and was named to the 2025-26 All-ECAC first team.
