This reunites Keopple and Maggie Connors, who spent four seasons together at Princeton and beat PWHL SJ forward Kristin O'Neill 3-2 in the 2020 ECAC championship game.

It’s unfortunate that next season’s Cornell-Colgate home-and-home series falls on the weekend before Thanksgiving. A big chunk of students will go home early and miss arguably the conference’s best rivalry.
Oh, we are SO back! The 2026-27 #ECACHockey women's league schedule is LIVE! What matchups and rivalries are you looking forward to the most? 🔗 buff.ly/ExzGKzt

The league's most underrated player is off the board. It would have been fun to see her reunited with a pair of college teammates in San Jose, but it looks like she wanted to stay in Vancouver throughout the process.
GETTIN’ DIZZY(ER) WITH IZZY 🌀 Izzy Daniel has been re-signed to a two-year Standard Player Agreement through the 2027-28 season and joins Sophie Jaques, Sarah Nurse and Emerance Maschmeyer as a protected player in the Expansion Player Distribution Process. 📰: bit.ly/4olDilO

“I think the signing of (Rory) Guilday is really important. A strong, solid defender that’s still young, that eats up a lot of minutes. She has goals: PWHL goals but also national team goals. Those are the types of players we wanted in our program.” GM/head coach Troy Ryan

I wonder if San Jose was the team that offered her the FPO. Daniel played with Kristin O'Neill in 2019-20 and Rory Guilday for three seasons. While not quite as much of a defensive forward as O’Neill or Maddi Wheeler, she still seems like a fit with what Troy Ryan is building.
I do think that Daniel will re-sign in Vancouver. In the end of season availability, both the GM and Coach said she was the player they were most impressed with this season. She could be a great long term player for them. #VancouverGoldeneyes

The PWHL has revealed that Izzy Daniel, Kali Flanagan, Jenn Gardiner, Julia Gosling, Susanna Tapani and Grace Zumwinkle all received foundational player offers from expansion teams during Phase 2. Because those offers were rejected, all six players must sign during Phase 3.

Great piece from Matthew about the infamous Cornell-Harvard rivalry! Really good stuff in here, especially for all the college hockey history nerds (my only qualm is that it’s fifth on the list…🫣)
For the fifth-best college rivalry in my ongoing series, I may have gotten slightly carried away, as the article is over 1,000 words. But Harvard vs Cornell demands it. For @TheHockeyNews: thehockeynews.com/ncaa/lates…

With the expansion process slowing down (at least for the moment), now is a great time to take a look at the PWHL entry draft which is just 9 days away! Here's my take for @TheIceGarden on which forward prospects from @ecachockey you should know: theixsports.com/the-ice-gard…

Another Cornellian! O'Neill was on the 2019-20 No. 1 ranked team that had its season cut short by COVID right before the NCAA tournament. She holds the Cornell program records for game-winning and shorthanded goals. So far, all four @PWHL_SanJose signees come from @ecachockey!

Before her time with the Sirens, Cherkowski spent four seasons at Clarkson, posting 30 points and 15 goals in her junior, senior, and grad seasons. She scored the opening goal in a 4-1 Frozen Four loss to Ohio State in 2024 and was named to the 2025-26 All-ECAC first team.
Another one for #PWHLSanJose Anne Cherkowski signs a two-year deal. She was under contract with the Sirens #NewYorkSirens
