1/ my solana journey and what lead me to build terrace ⚽️ - a 🧵 i’ve been building games on solana since graduating from university in the summer of 2022. won the solana summer camp hackathon as a university student with my best friend and cofounder @RameshSachan and that changed everything for us. we ended up starting a company, ramesh and i met @memxor_ in @SuperteamIN community and we decided to go all in on games built on solana. since then we’ve won speedrun, renaissance, bonkathon, got introduced to eclipse, and tested the GTM version of cryptara conquest on eclipse svm to: 13k players 65k game sessions $60k in-game microtransactions revenue in our first 2 months now we're shipping season 1 of cryptara on @solanamobile (get ready) - huge props to all our team members who worked so hard on the upcoming launch that journey taught me something important: consumer crypto only works when the blockchain disappears. nobody playing cryptara cared about what chain they were on. they cared about the experience. and as someone who played football in school and grew up as a massive man utd fan watching the premier league, i kept stumbling across the same opportunity over and over again while building on solana. sports outcomes are naturally social. football fans already live inside prediction markets without realizing it. every weekend, group chats explode with takes: who scores first who bottles the title whether united’s xg actually means anything but all those takes disappear instantly. - no reputation. - no permanence. - no reward for being right. yet football is the most opinionated sport on earth. 4 billion fans. $180b sports betting market millions already playing fantasy premier league every week because people love competing around football opinions. that’s what led me to build @terrace_social in public, and submitting to @colosseum was the first step in the right direction terrace is the product i always wished existed: a social prediction layer for football fans powered by @solana rails here's what i've shipped so far 🔽
