Thereβs something beautiful about Nomura being able to βreviveβ or bring life to the characters he created, but he never got to see come to life in Versus XIII. The way heβs integrating Versus XIII into the Kingdom Hearts story fits thematically as well so far. Iβm intrigued πβ¨
Additionally, there are probably a lot of devs whoβve had similar situations happen with their projects, or had to see them scrapped entirely. Theyβll be able to relate! Nomura finding a way for these characters to exist tying them into the themes & story of KH, is pretty cool.
Even though I donβt expect it, Atlantis actually would be a perfect world to explore in the search for ways to get to Sora Quadratum & get him back. Oh, youβre looking for a place that people donβt know how to get to? AND itβs often regarded as fictional or not real?
For those who arenβt familiar, the theoryβs that Bongo Bongo was originally the man who lived above the well made the Lens of Truth. To make the Lens of Truth, he tortured Sheikah people. The Sheikah trapped him in the bottom of the well & his spirit(?) turned into Bongo Bongo.
It explains why the Shadow Temple and the Spirit Temple refer to the βeye of truth,β not the Lens. The symbol the Sheikah wear is the βeye of truth,β they donβt need a tool to see through the illusions or see spirits. It explains the aggression towards specifically Sheik too!
I love this theory and it felt pretty much confirmed by the design of the Bottom of the Well & the verbiage used by the townsfolk describing the man, but it would be cool to see it more fleshed out in the remake ποΈβ€οΈβ¨
I wonder if the Ocarina of Time remake will finally outright confirm the Bottom of the Well Bongo Bongoβs connection to the Sheikah theory or will they just keep the same evidence as beforeβ¦ hmmβ¦
