After 9 credit upgrades & paying off our state’s bill backlog, Illinois now has a A bond rating with Fitch. This means lower borrowing rates, which save taxpayers money long term. We still have challenges to overcome but we continue to make progress! nbcchicago.com/news/local/il…

I was proud 2 vote for HB2789, which allows state grant funding only 2 libraries that adhere 2 the American Library Assoc’s Library Bill of Rights, which protects against attempts to ban/remove/restrict access 2 books or other materials. In IL we protect ur right 2 read freely.

Illinois is now the third state in the nation––and the first in the Midwest––to guarantee paid leave for all workers. This historic legislation is a game changer for so many working families and a critical step in building a more equitable state.

Ending the day with stops at Lincoln Elementary School in Glen Ellyn, One Line Church in Wheaton and Lisle Village Hall. Loved seeing volunteers, precinct captains and first time voters out participating in this election. There’s still time to get out and cast your ballot!
