A reminder that objects are living cultures & importance of co-production. Museums have long way to go wrt decolonising, but proud to play small part in this @McrMuseum event - attendees generously shared fascinating stories about objects in use, memories, familial associations.
So humbling and inspiring to hear the stories, memories and associations people have with the @McrMuseum African objects as part our collaboration with the fantastic @NjabuloChipangu as part of @BeingHumanFest Watch this space for next steps, write up, film & digital exhibition.
