🎉 The John F. Kennedy Memorial High school Embrace Relief club was honored to participate in the multicultural community festival hosted at @CommunityJersey in Franklin Township. 💙 The festival brought together thousands of attendees to celebrate culture, community, and service through traditional Turkish dances, food, family activities, and meaningful conversations. 🤝 ☺️ Our team set up an arcade and game style stand that welcomed families, children, and community members throughout the day. Through this interactive booth, we had the opportunity to speak with hundreds of people about Embrace Relief’s mission and ongoing humanitarian projects as well as our own projects. 🌎 Thanks to the generosity and support of the community, we raised $1,300 to support our clubs trip to Uganda, efforts to provide assistance to those in need. 🇺🇬 💛 More than just a fundraiser, the event was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when people from diverse backgrounds come together with compassion, joy, and a shared commitment to helping others. As we implement community service projects as part of our America250 Initiative, we are also carrying out initiatives that support pets, an important part of our communities. 🇺🇸 ♥️🐈 Yesterday, in collaboration with the Arkansas Culture and Dialog Center, we organized a visit to the Washington County Animal Shelter. The visit was carried out by our girls’ and boys’ mentorship groups from Northwest Arkansas. During the visit, toys and pet food were donated to help the animals at the shelter enjoy a happier and more enriching environment. 195 families in Monroe County received Eid al-Adha meat packages through Chestnut Retreat Center’s partnership with @EmbraceRelief, @LehighDialogue and local food pantry partners. The distribution began at CEC Food Pantry in Stroudsburg, where 120 neighbors received packages, and continued at PVEN with packages for 75 more families.
