Thrilled to be partnering with the Int'l Association of Chiefs of Police (@TheIACP) to help develop guidance for police chiefs around the country on how to interrogate people with disabilities. Brendan Dassey was 16 years old with disabilities centered around speech/language, yet he found himself alone in an interrogation room -- no parent or supportive adult present -- bombarded with 4-5 questions per minute. Recipe for a false confession. policechiefmagazine.org/iacp….
It was just a “one time thing.”
That’s what Brad Schimel said when he gave a “sweet bargain” to a man who sexually assaulted a ten year-old girl.
A few weeks ago, he was convicted of sexually assaulting a child again.
NEW: Wisconsin Court of Appeals long awaited decision in Steven Avery’s case will be released this Wednesday, January 15th. He’s challenging judge’s refusal to grant hearing on newly discovered evidence that was suppressed by State

This day 5 years ago @GovEvers denied Brendan’s clemency petition.
Where are the experts, scholars and juvenile law change makers who were so vocal in support of Brendan?
Who will bring Brendan home?
His story may affect change for others but what about Brendan?
Well don’t ya say now:
MTSO Lt. Dave Remiker, who w/ Lt Lenk & Colborn “found” key evidence implicating Steven Avery, has been charged in Manitowoc County (2024CF736) with felony Misconduct in Office.

What does it say about our legal system when the U.S. Supreme Court refuses to stop an execution even when the county prosecuting agency that handled the original trial files a brief in support of a stay and supports vacating the entire conviction? #MarcellusWilliams

Well, KK finally threw all his former pals under the bus. Who is surprised? Maybe those he now trashes, but they covered for him for too long so no sympathy is due. But he omits the real villain in this messy saga.

The Kansas Supreme Court reversed the conviction of a 16 yr. old with disabilities, finding that the detective coerced his confession by negating his Miranda rights & using deception and suggestions of leniency. law.justia.com/cases/kansas/… Here's a summary: cjonline.com/story/news/poli…
Disgraced former Avery prosecutor Kratz “provided his trial diary to the Wisconsin Law Journal during an exclusive interview.”
Wonder how this 17-yr-old “diary” magically materialized? What’s next, a secret tape from The Prize?
