Tomorrow! Join me online for @civicartlab where I’ll be presenting “How to Map When You Don’t Know Where You Are”
When all we know is what we’re feeling and who we are, how can we harness maps to figure out where we’re going?
coffee last week: iced coffee with milk (a combination that in Japan is pretty much only achievable at home, I discovered) from a ホッピージョッキ
coffee this week: a festive latte from @Headrestcoffee

I have one question for people who remain steadfastly in the doorway when the doors open at a busy transfer station
Do you just have a thing for people staring at you??
Thank you very much.
(This message brought to you by Shinjuku)
I asked for a translation and only had to minimally change it, the emotion was still clear:
混雑した乗り換え駅でドアが開いた時に、ドアの前にじっと立っている人に質問があります。
あなたはもし、人に見つめられるのが好きなだけなのでしょうか??
どうもありがとうございます。
I’m eternally grateful to have come across IROCORE DOT COM and it turns out I have the best “birthday color”, I dare you to argue otherwise irocore.com/aoshirotsurubami…
Does this benefit my Japanese reading study? only maaaybe. But it does explain the sewing projects (and coffeeshop upholstery) that I’ve been gravitating towards lately!!
Craft beer and crafting 💕
Having a surprisingly delicious saison on the train ride from Kyoto to Tokyo!
We bought it for the name (“Ichigo Ichie” is “once-in-a-lifetime encounter” and used in a kinda Oriental-self-help-y way in US media) but it’s also really good!
Yknow…. If I have to skip out on afternoon #WCUS talks to get some other work done, it’s awfully nice that I can do so while watching folks come and go from above. Really puts me on the mood to think about mapping..! 🗺️🥰
Japanese study accountability group tonight at @spritzenhaus33 💕 glad to be a part of a group that takes self-study so seriously! I still need to make a concrete goal though……..
The split screen real-time view is awesome, but I think it could do with a more exciting sports announcer style… maybe as it gets down to the wire? 🤞#wcus
