Seriously @BorisJohnson @PennyMordaunt this is now getting beyond a joke....either have the restrictions for every event or not at all, this is discrimination against weddings! Weddings are life events not just a weekend on the drink watching sport! #whataboutweddings

The seasonal wedding industry cannot survive another delay. The current restrictions are not acceptable. Today, alongside @Sacha_Lord and a other key associations & businesses @WAWofficialUK are putting the Govt on notice that we intend to take legal action.

So whilst this was going on, we were creating risk assessment to find out how many #guests we can host at a #wedding, informing #couples that they have to have seated #drinksreceptions & #dancing is advised against?! Can you see why we’re frustrated as hell?! #whataboutweddings

“Do as I say, not as I do” less than 24 hours after telling the wedding industry standing drinks receptions are banned… our prime minister hosts a standing drinks reception.

On the day we reached the milestone of 30 million second doses given across the UK, the Prime Minister hosted NHS staff in the gardens of Downing Street to thank them for their extraordinary work in the vaccination rollout and in responding to the pandemic.

The difference of perspective of those that have job/life security & those whose livelihoods have either been ruined or hang in the balance is truly depressing.
