I've come up with a plan. I'm starting 2024 with exactly 24 unread physical books on my shelf (and donating all the rest). We will not mention the ebook TBR.

I'm a bit uneasy with the "Muslims aren't offended by Christmas, my Muslim friends have Christmas trees up" messages. Muslims shouldn't have to join in with the celebrations just to make you feel better about them. It's ok for Muslims to not partake at all.

Does anyone here work in a trauma-informed approach school? Would like to know what your behaviour system looks like and how it's going. My school is now using this approach but I'm a bit confused about it.

In A level maths, if you have to prove something, are you allowed to prove it by starting with the RHS and ending up with the LHS? Or do you have to do it left to right?

Remembering how this time last year I made three of these and put them in pigeonholes in the staff room hoping the people who got them would do the same and we'd have an exponential wave of positivity but by summer term the original mugs were still in the pigeonholes

Because I'm guessing what actually happened was the child was told reasonably that the shoes were unacceptable and they kicked off, possibly being rude, defiant, disruptive, bad language etc.
