Last week we came across a non native, drifting bull kelp (Durvillea) in Ryder Bay @BAS_News Rafts can transport other non native species to the continent. We found open water goose barnacles (Lepas australis). These are not a threat but harmful invaders can also hitch a ride

So happy to hear the final Himanthalia elongata survey, which I worked on for 18 months, has been completed! So many individuals have been recorded over a 2 year period. Can’t wait to hear the results!
We just finished the final monthly Sea Spaghetti survey, started 2 years ago by Larisa Lewis! πŸ₯³πŸ’šπŸ™Œ a massive team effort πŸ‘ @EmmajStuart @MaxineCanvin @SeaweedSoph @DanSmale1 @thembauk @brough_fraser
