friends and loved ones! please consider donating to Remy if you can spare the funds. he's an absolute saint and this surgery recovery has been a much harder process than anticipated.
Bringing this back because I have been out of work since November and can’t start working again until the end of the month at best. I’ve gone through so much since my initial surgery just to be broke and in pain all the time. Please donate and share <3 gofund.me/9127cfac

I'm thinking About when I worked in a bookstore for like 2 months and the owner would be pricing shit and she tag a book at above its original sale price and I'd ask her about it and she'd go on this whole thing about how like when she's pricing she's looking up the fair value

online and seeing The general range that the The book would sell for but in real life, this isn't like a rare book that's going to sell it above sticker price, this is a mass market paperback of The Hobbit from the 2000s and no one's paying 12 dollars for it

Not to mention they don't buy used books, all of their used books are donations, so like. ma'am the books aren't selling bc you're doing what the algorithm says instead of thinking. five books sold at a lower price is still better than one sold at your markup when cogs is zero

they need to invent a business appropriate way to say "it's okay, you don't have to be polite or make small talk, what do you want"

I am falling victim to office culture (my boss saw me get another cup of coffee and went "ooh is that number four??")

Ive got this coworker who always seemed like I make her uncomfortable but like two weeks ago she grinned and told me my new haircut was "sassy" (in a good way) and then today there was a group discussing like hiking and stuff and she goes "Em are you an outdoor girl?" and like.

Something that's done wonders for my confidence when like, altering clothes, Is realizing that I'm already not wearing it so the worst that can happen is I can continue to not wear it
