Lochside’s VIP cafe and @EmotionWorksCIC We are delighted that our cafe is a perfect opportunity for learners to share their emotional literacy skills with their families. Meta-skills: A Lochside learner shares their feelings. #LochsidePS
Looking forward to this online event today with Scottish Book Trust. Still spaces to join I believe. If you're coming along see you there! eventbrite.co.uk/e/shared-pr…
P7O considered six Emotion Works cogs while they analysed the “Edgar the Excitable” TV advert using ideas from our whole school EW floor book 🔥⚙️🧡💛💚❤️💙💜 @EmotionWorksCIC#COGmas2025
We have been learning all about @EmotionWorksCIC at Castlehill Primary! As part of #COGmas2025, #Primary4 discussed and recorded a variety of feelings during the holidays.
This was fun - our first pupil get-together for #COGmas2025 - great to have lots of schools and classes join us for our "Let's Celebrate" COGmas Classroom & School Awards 🌟🌟
Some of our COGmas2025 provocations. Our little learners are really digging deep into emotional literacy & sharing lots of different feelings, facial expressions & body sensations. @EmotionWorksCIC@EarlyYearsAngus
The P3 cohort have loved taking part in COGmas 2025! We have expanded on our Emotion Works knowledge and understanding and look forward to future projects. We also enjoyed taking part in the whole school COGmas 'Let's Celebrate COGmas Together' project! @EmotionWorksCIC
Strathmore Primary School's giant COGmas Tree was an amazing focal point in the gym hall for our Christmas events to share our EW journey will the wider school community. Each child made a bauble to represent their cog using Edgar's story!🎄🧡💛💚🤎💙🩶💜 @EmotionWorksCIC
P3 recieved their last activity from Joy and Mellow. This time there was no trigger and the classes had to come up with their own triggers they would feel at this time of the year. Look at all the amazing triggers they came up with!💛 @EmotionWorksCIC
The Nursery staff & children are delighted to add another @EmotionWorksCIC award to their collection. The first setting in @AngusCouncil to receive the ‘Festive Feelings’ award. Next step is our Gold award. Happy COGmas from Lochside ELC
@LochsidePS@EarlyYearsAngus
Today we had our first ever Cogmas session.
We sang the “Festive Feelings” song and listened to a story. We also talked about things you do at this time of year. #Cogmas2025 🎄🧑🎄 @hazleheadschool
Award applications are open for #COGmas2025 and we're celebrating @PrimaryPentland being one of our first schools to be awarded. Well done everyone!! 🥳 @WeAspireNLC
A huge congratulations to the pupils of @PrimaryPentland for achieving a whole school "Cogmas" award. The whole school has been working hard to gain this award, and their effort during Emotion Works lessons has been fabulous @EmotionWorksCIC 😀👏.
Joy and Mellow both heard a scary sound in the night that made them feel scared. P3P focused on the blue cog to identify regulation strategies that would make Joy feel better, while P3H used the 5-cog model to explore the emotion further. @EmotionWorksCIC
Joy and Mellow found themselves in a situation that made them feel calm. P3H used the 5-cog model to further understand the emotion calm. We also spoke about how regulation strategies can help us feel calm when we are feeling negative emotions.
@EmotionWorksCIC
Yesterday, Joy and Mellow found themselves in a situation that made them feel angry. P3P focused on the red cog to identify body sensations, while P3H used the 5-cog model. P3 could relate to Joy's situation today and gave examples from their own experiences!
@EmotionWorksCIC
Joy and Mellow found themselves in a situation that made them feel sad. P3P focused on the green Cog to identify behaviours, while P3H used the 5-cog model. Luckily, P3 all recieved letters from Santa today, so their letters made it to the North Pole, phew! @EmotionWorksCIC
The Hive learners used The Snowman by Raymond Briggs to explore emotions and associated triggers, behaviours, and regulation strategies. A Hive learner is a successful learner. @EmotionWorksCIC#LochsidePS
