Two years have passed. Some people avoid bernese mountain dogs due to their short average life spans. But I think it's worth it. 7 years of joy with Enzo, two years after, and years to come, remembering him.

#MondayMotivation I turned TWELVE yesterday! This is a huge achievement for a bernese mountain dog! Lost an eye to cancer last year and now dealing with Protein Losing Enteropathy (which took 3 months to diagnose) but I'm doing great! #dogsofx
Rest easy sweet gentle girl. At 9.3 years you were in bernese overtime but we still didn't expect yesterday would be the day we said goodbye. I would have done anything, but you made the hardest decision for us. 🌈 #dogsofX
Last night I watched 2 episodes of All in the Family. Pt 1, Mike and (drag queen) Beverly Lasalle are attacked. Beverly dies, & Edith can't reconcile it & blames God. In Pt 2, Mike, an atheist, tells Edith that maybe God doesn't intend for us to understand everything right now.
Roselle was asleep under her owner's desk on the 78th floor in Tower 1 of the WTC when the attack commenced. She was awakened by the plane impacting some fifteen floors above them. Roselle calmly helped Hingson to stairwell B, despite the smoke, noise & confusion. #NeverForget
Hingson later said, "While everyone ran in panic, Roselle remained totally focused on her job, while debris fell around us, and even hit us, Roselle stayed calm." Once clear, Roselle led her owner to the safety of a subway station.
She led her owner and 30 other people down 1,463 steps out of the tower. After descending over half the distance, they passed the firemen who were heading up, who Roselle stopped to greet. The descent took just over an hour. Just after they exited the tower, Tower 2 collapsed.
