What is your favorite Irvin Baxter memory?
FIVE YEARS?! Itโs hard to believe itโs been five years since you stepped into eternity.
Time has moved on, but your voice, your values, and your vision still shape my life every single day.
People knew you around the world for teaching Bible prophecy with such boldness and clarity. You made the complex simple. You spoke about God with reverence and love. But lately, what Iโve been thinking about isnโt just what you did, itโs who you were.
You were CONSISTENT.
Whether you were on a broadcast reaching millions, sitting in a Dennyโs booth at midnight after a conference, counseling a couple through a tough season, or laughing over a game of Rook โ you were the same man every time. Genuine... Grounded... Godly.
You led Endtime Ministries for 34 years with conviction and excellence, but what made you truly remarkable was your compassion. You were tough when truth required it, yet tender when people needed grace. You had the rare ability to hold both in perfect balance.
Working with you side-by-side for decades (specifically the last five years of your life) changed me. Thatโs when I began to understand the secret that made you different. It was your PERSPECTIVE.
You didnโt just see people for who they were, you saw who they COULD become.
You didnโt just talk about love, you LIVED it.
You were radically considerate, always aware of how your words and actions would affect others.
Because of that, love was restored where there could have been division. You often brought clarity to confusion. And because of your guidance, HOPE always found its way back into the room.
You taught me that true strength isnโt about being right, itโs about being RIGHTEOUS. And true leadership isnโt about control, itโs about CARE.
So today, while I miss you deeply, I donโt grieve like someone without hope. I celebrate.
Five years for you isnโt loss... itโs LIFE. Youโve been with Jesus for five years. And one day, Iโll step through that same doorway.
Until then, your legacy lives on in our ministry, our family, and in me.
Thank you for teaching me how to live for eternity while still loving deeply in the present.
See you soon. โค๏ธ
P.S. This is my favorite photo of you, and I am wearing this shirt today. :D ๐
