I can now reveal that an earlier draft of the @Great_Run medal had it as Newcastle-Under-Lyme and the river was actually the M6 motorway. ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
It was still a magnificent event and the medal is awesome! See you next year for my lucky number 13!

I see there is a bright red Tesla for sale in the Washington DC area. Only has delivery milage on it but the buyer must arrange to have it towed as it has never been driven and the battery is now flat. Also, someone has taken a dump in the glovebox.

So, what would have happened if Canada were to become the 51st State of the US? What impact would this have had on the November 2024 election? My assumption would be that Trump would not have become president, but the maths shows otherwise (1/7)๐งต

This would leave the House with 247 Democrat votes to 247 Republicans. Therefore the 40% guess would be highly significant. But, on these figures we would not be seeing Trump impeached or for any real change in the super-explosive nature of US politics. (6/7)

In summary, Canada would be a new California style left-leaning mega-state (not MAGA) with huge electoral votes, but big though Canada is, its population is too low to have changed the 2024 result, but it would give Democrats a huge advantage in future elections (7/7)

I'm continuing my migration from Twitter for all the obvious reasons. The plan is to do it gradually:
1) Find existing people I follow on Bluesky.
2) If they are actively post there then I unfollow them in twitter.
3) Encourage posters to dual-post or move.
4) Use both apps but remove duplicates.

My new Tesla really isn't as good as you'd think. No self-drive, no fancy console, not even any wheels - they probably cost extra. Zero stars, do not recommend. You should probably get a Ford Fiesta instead.
