Alhumdulilah
Allah guides whom he wills and I am grateful to share that I have reverted to Islam. I believe Ive been submitted to God since I was 18 and my relationship with God was the only reason I made it through 5yr struggle with severe mental health problems. Allah has since been progressively revealing himself and his expectations of me since and this journey has lead me to accepting Islam and Muhammed peace be upon him as the last prophet. I spent my entire life rejecting the Quran and Muhammed pbuh due to substantial anti-islamic bias/programming growing up as an American Christian. I was taught that Islam was completely separate from the Bible and have since learned that it is not separate but a continuation with the last preserved revelation of Allah being the Quran. Not only a continuation but a correction as well due to the Bible being a collection of recordings of the message given by God while the Quran is the literal speech of God. The Bible is a text that we have no original copies of and therefore it is impossible to verify the authenticity of it. The dead sea scrolls are the closest old testament fragments that we have and date 1500 yrs after the time of Moses pbuh while the earliest full collection of the new testament is the Codex Sinaiticus which is around 350 years after the time of the Messiah pbuh written by anonymous authors in a different language than what he spoke. I had believed the gospels were the first hand account of the time of the Messiah’s life because that is what I had been told and I have come to learn that there is zero evidence to support this claim. As a believer in the God of the Bible I felt called to look into Islam without approaching it from the pre determined position of it being false. During this journey I did not want to be a muslim. I was comfortable with where I was at and thought that upon investigation that it would prove false so I could continue on where I was. The more I looked into the Quran the more I realized that it was what it claimed to be, the word of God directly revealed to Muhammed pbuh, which has been preserved in the original Arabic in manuscripts as well as an oral chain dating back to the time of the prophet. A 1400 year game of telephone and the only in the world that has the same preserved message, unchanged from then to now with millions of people around the world with the whole Quran memorized. After looking into the life of the prophet Muhammed pbuh after removing my predisposed negative attitude towards him I came to the conclusion that he was a prophet and there is no other logical conclusion one can come to when investigating this matter with sincerity (my perception, everyone is entitled to their own). A man known for his honesty and fairness turned down everything one could desire in this life in order to spread the message of true monotheism which resulted in years of persecution and hardship. Muhammed pbuh acurately prophesied the fall of the two biggest empires of his time naming both of their last kings, prophesied that the bedouin Arabs would be competing to build the tallest buildings, as well as many more prophecies that prove him to be true. After spending a few weeks as a muslim I can with certainty say that it is the greatest thing in my life and that my islam is what I value the most in this world. Words do not exist to express my gratitude to be on the straight path. If you have read this far Id like to invite you to investigate Islam with sincerity. To take time to understand their side of the story and not just go off what you have been programmed to believe from media. Alhumdulilah for everything.

The more I attend Islamic classes the more I realize how much of the suffering of the Ummah is caused by lack of knowledge. If the 1.8B muslims were committed to seeking knowledge and living by that knowledge evil would not prevail nearly a fraction as much as it does today.

My fellow Americans there is a case to be made that there has been a concerted effort to shrink the attention span of our people. There is also a case to be made that one of the reasons it has been done is so we wouldn’t take the time to read this 4 page letter. Highly recommend giving it a read as we are currently sending our own people to go die for Israel to attack a country that we have no reason to instead of taking care of own country. Israel is the enemy of all mankind and we have allowed ourselves to be their paid hitmen except instead of them paying us we send them $3.3B a year. As a country we really need to wake up and realize what is happening before it is too late. Not a single American should be dying for Israel.

For those asking previously my hair reached down to the bottom of my shoulder blades. I understand it is Sunnah to have long hair to the shoulders but having past the shoulders would be considered imitating women at least according to the shayk I trust. I decided to go with below the earlobes and will cut it again once it reaches resting on my shoulders inshAllah.

Alhamdulillah
May Allah forgive us our shortcomings when we turn to Him with sincere repentance. It is truly an honor to be a slave of the most compassionate and most merciful.
I am QUITTING the debate space indefinitely.
After a deep and sincere conversation with our revert brother @EnochIslam I have come to the realization that I have done more harm than good by trying to debate without a proper foundation in true Islamic knowledge.
I ask Allah and the Muslim community to forgive me for what I have done in the past and to allow me to enter a new chapter of my life as a student of Islam instead of using Islam to my own will. I deeply regret taking debates with individuals who constantly disrespect Islam and I will steer far away from them.
Truly, after speaking to our brother Enoch I have realized that the presence I have can be used for something greater and better than wasting time arguing with those who hate us.
If I ever hurt you with my words, I sincerely ask for your forgiveness as I have made many mistakes in my life that I now seek to rectify before I meet my Lord on Judgement Day.
The last 10 days of Ramadan spent in the Masjid was an invitation by my good friend and lawyer @HassanShibly who helped me in my journey back to Islam away from hedonism.
I’m still learning, and I have no knowledge to speak on Islam in a public space, let alone in debates.
So I will refrain from doing so until I finish my proper schooling recommended to me and I will continue to strive for Allah in private.
My efforts will be focused on creating content for journalism, activism, and financial education.
I hope that you continue this journey with me as I navigate this chaotic world as a human.
I ask Allah to forgive me and forgive anyone who may have done wrong through my influence or actions, and I sincerely ask those who support me or know about me to make dua for me to become the best version of myself while I am alive.
This is my only personal goal in life… to become the best version of myself so I can serve others around me in the best way possible. That’s it.
May Allah accept my sincere repentance.

Learning Arabic part 2 this video focuses on the process I used to learn the 3 basic vowel sounds with each consonant letter. InshAllah this will help anyone else attempting to learn to read the Arabic Quran. So far Ive found that repetition is key. May Allah swt make it easy on us all and accept all of the efforts we make to grow closer to Him.
