Savory, structured, complex and serious, this is Barbaresco for people who love Barbaresco. It’s currently transitioning out of its youthful phase with tertiary notes starting to emerge. This is going to be fantastic in 5 years! #barbaresco #nebbiolo

The Giovanni Rosso Barolo is one of our go to cellar defenders that never disappoints. It’s incredibly expressive right out of the bottle and after 4 hours it’s singing! #barolo #nebbiolo

The days of needing to wait 20 years to open Nebbiolo are a thing of the past. This is the first ‘22 I’ve tasted and it’s firing on all cylinders! #nebbiolo #barbaresco

I’ve been on the hunt for these Produttori del Barbaresco Asili for a while and 2020 sure is great for early drinking of bottles that would otherwise need years. #barbaresco

One of my favorite bottles to introduce people to how fantastic and even serious Beaujolais can be. Amazing QPR too!

Always a fantastic wine and the ‘23 is one of my favorites yet. Surprisingly strong, ripe banana peel and spices on the nose. It’s like shoving your nose into banana bread. The wine itself has good concentration but real structure and acidity to lift into crushable territory.

A nice change of pace with a Pinot night. I was unsure of what to expect from the Rose & Arrow Highland Close because of the wild pricing but it was phenomenal! The ‘16 Resonance Decouverte Vineyard was also incredible and still fresh, and the Peake Ranch did not disappoint.

Incredible phenolic ripeness and fruit density without losing the tension and lift of a great Nebbiolo. One of the most complete and immediately enjoyable Barbarescos I’ve had in a while. #barbaresco

First time trying a Giovanni Rosso and wow! This bottle has convinced me to dive into their single vineyard / cru wines. This bottle is already punching way above its price point. Firing on all cylinders! #barolo #nebbiolo

Talk about contrast! The Petit Verdot is showing really well with a profile that reads more like cool climate Syrah than most PV. Great acid lifts it and keeps it from feeling weighed down despite the density. Obvious malo and dill add to the layers. #petitverdot #barbaresco

Switching it up for fun but Burgundy once again showing that it’s one of the worst QPRs out there. Until you spend a LOT of $ you are spending way too much for wines that are just “good” or “fine.” Back to Nebbiolo we go!

Another great haul from @klwines highlighting just how insane the QPR from Piedmont is! Amazing wines without breaking the bank. I’m excited to try these 2016 Discovery series Barolos and maybe even find out who the producer is when I cut the foil 👀 #piedmont #barolo #barbaresco

Charging $200 for Grammy certificates is pretty lame. 🙄

Back on my BS! Before my descent down the Nebbiolo rabbit hole, this was one of my favorite wines so I was curious to check in on it. It doesn’t quite have the tension I’m after these days but it’s still absolutely fantastic!

Spanish / Lebanese wine dinner. How it started > how it went. An incredible spread of food (I was too busy cooking to take pictures) and range of wines. WOTN was 1992 Marqués de Murrieta Rioja Ygay Reserva. Still incredible structure and acidity despite its age. #Rioja #Musar

Continuing to stock up on great “weekday” Barbarescos that always hit the spot with no fuss. Once again Piedmont showing unbeatable QPR #barbaresco #piedmont

First ‘21 from Produtttori and I can confidently say that this is the best vintage I’ve had yet! Absolutely incredible young Nebbiolo! Glad I bought a case. Wish I bought two… #barbaresco #nebbiolo

This has become one of my favorite bottles at any price. Most wines are vaguely reminiscent of fruits or other elements but this is wild in how real the flavors are. Vivid hibiscus iced tea and gummy strawberries that start sweet, turn tart and finish with dead on Lipton Sun tea
