This is a photo of my brain tumour. My surgery was originally scheduled for today, but I received a call yesterday afternoon that the surgery has been cancelled indefinitely. Please call, email, or share this post with our government officials. Thank you!

This is what @Shawhelp thinks is acceptable for an internet install. Back in December 2022, we had service installed, and the line was left laying on the ground. We were told that someone would come in the spring to bury it. 1/2

The tech came out, took a look, and said he couldn't do anything and a third party would come and take care of it. It is now August. We propped up the cable ourselves so we could at least get some yard work done. 2/2

So... We're on a roadtrip through the US right now. And have discovered there is something not right about Canada's gas prices. Before I left the country, I bought a full tank of gas in Saskatchewan, which cost me 75 CAD. I bought a full tank today in South Dakota for 34 USD

Also, just passed a station in Oklahoma that has gas for 2.99 USD a gallon. The fuel companies must be making a fortune on all of us Canadians!

Ugh... In what world are these #COVID19 #Omicron symptoms mild? It feels like my throat is full of broken glass. #fullyvaccinated #immunocompromised

1/? A response to @ABDanielleSmith : my brain cancer is not my fault. In fact, my journey in securing care in our healthcare system has been a trial I would not wish on my wrist enemy. When I was first diagnosed, I was denied surgery (even just a biopsy).

8/8 so now, I go through my life, wondering how much more I could have done to push my care along. And sadly, would I have received better Care (especially surgical) elsewhere?

7/? I started chemotherapy and radiation in December. When I finally received the results from my Post radiation MRI, I was shocked to learn that only about 1% of my tumour was actually removed.

6/? About a week later, I got a call that my surgery was rescheduled. The surgery finally arrived. It left me with some mobility impairment, that still exists to this day.

5/? I lay in a bed in the ER for nearly 12 hours, receiving only the bare bones of advice, and being without any food or even water. I was released home without any answers.

4/? I got so stressed that evening from all the attention, etc. That I had the worst seizure of my life. I was convulsing on the ground in front of my wife, and a few friends. I was rushed to the u of a by an ambulance.

3/? That left us scrambling to find care again! That evening I reached out to @jvipondmd on Twitter and he spread my story world-wide. I was hounded by every news organization in Canada to tell my story.

2/? When I first met with my oncologists they were under the impression that I refused surgery. 3 months past my diagnosis, I was finally booked in for my brain tumour removal surgery (a craniotomy).

3/? Day by day, the date of my surgery got closer. Then, the afternoon before my surgery was scheduled, I got a phonecall that my surgery was cancelled. They did not give me a reason for the cancellation.
