The group was made up of 14 students from Preston College, Runshaw College, Burnley College, Winstanley College, Hutton Grammar School and Sixth Form, Hulme Grammar School, St Michael's Church of England High School Chorley, Bishop Rawstorne Church of England Academy, St Aidens High School, Hope Academy and Cardinal Newman College Preston. The students spent the week immersed in our different divisional operations, experiencing challenges and tasks from planning, bid writing, design management, quantity surveying, site management, programme planning, risk registers and risk assessments, and engineering. Our Construction team is currently on site at Rumworth School in #Bolton for client Clear Futures. As part of our ambition to leave a legacy beyond the build, our masonry contractor on the scheme ECR generously donated new tools and equipment to the school, allowing for the students to hone their skills in becoming the next generation of bricklayers. The works will see the team increase capacity and improve resources for group activities at the outstanding special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) school.
