City Warriors (1988) is directed by Johnny Wang Lung-Wei (Hong Kong Godfather, Escape From Brothel) who is a Shaw Brothers acting veteran, and one of the earliest filmmakers to lay the groundwork for Hong Kong’s influential heroic bloodshed genre.
