I think for me the most disturbing / scary part about Eddie childhood is no one knows what happened after his dad and uncle got arrested for abusing him. Here was zero hint or evidence about Eddie moving to a safer environment or getting adopted by a better family.

Not to mention we don’t know nothing about his mother just him believing the old stereotypes of women in general and since he believes that old stereotypes I believe his mother was like this and that why she let the abuse happen or straight up neglected him.

If his mother neglected him and he ended up staying with her even after the abuse then it pushed his delusional and his hatred towards women more. Eddie never got the help that he needed and it cost him to be the way that he is.
