So growing up with these types of stories from my mom and how she grew up on the Iowa prairie well … Every time I think I have it hard now I don’t really have it THAT hard not compared to battling some harsh elements and having a successful farm

AI has been hugely helpful in putting some puzzle pieces together that I’ve been trying to put together for a very long time. I really love family history and it’s something that shouldn’t be forgotten. It should be remembered. That’s where you came from.

My dad was an avid fly fisherman. That is a skill the fish had a fighting chance. He was also an avid bird hunter. Same thing a skill. I remember many trout, pheasant, bob white, and sometimes rabbit dinners when I was a child. He never hunted deer.

Anyhow, he moved to New York City to pursue his dreams when he was very young. Played in the pit Orchestra on Broadway and then got gigs with less brown and Tommy Dorsey.
