Let it be known: female protagonists in gaming wouldn't be where they are today without Ellie Williams. She helped bring them into the mainstream and proved they could lead some of gaming's greatest stories. So whenever you see a peak female protagonist, be grateful for Ellie🐐

Female protagonists have been part of mainstream gaming since at least the 1980s. Samus Aran from Metroid (1986) and Lara Croft from Tomb Raider (1996) were influential long before Ellie in 2013.

A cancelled manga is getting an anime adaptation, after 8 years.
Black Torch, the manga by Tsuyoshi Takaki that was cancelled in 2018 after just 5 volumes, is officially getting an anime adaptation starting July 4.
The series follows Jiro Azuma, a 17-year-old descendant of a shinobi clan with the rare ability to communicate with animals, whose life is turned upside down after a powerful demon cat named Rago merges with him to save his life.

🤦 Here we go bashing Xbox again. I think @asha_shar and @ballmatthew are doing a great job with being transparent with Gamers and doing these interviews. Everyone who's invested wants to know what's happening, even the harsh truths.
And most casual gamers don't look into all this as much as myself and some others do. So annoying...

Xbox's strategy so far under Asha seems to have been just cheap wins and chasing their tail. I'm not sure why they feel so inclined to talk so much and do interviews, but they should probably just stay silent until they have a plan in place.
If people in the industry are confused about what they are doing, I can't imagine how confusing it is for a casual gamer.
