Another quick short, another exercise in IP-building.
Will likely be moving back to nodal workflows and hybrid camera shoots in the future for greater control.
Been a blast using Seedance 2.0- I don't think any current model surpasses it.
Will be trying Ray 3.2 this weekend!

Seedance 2.0 censorship seems completely arbitrary.
Sometimes it will allow Extreme Close-Ups of characters as references, other times it inexplicably won't.
Quite frustrating.

When Ray 3 Reasoning released back in September, it gave Veo 3 a run for its money.
Ray 3.14 allowed for faster and higher quality generations.
Can't wait to try out Ray 3.2!

5 things I learned using Seedance 2.0 the past couple months:
1) add NO MUSIC at the end of the prompt
2) a couple ref images for characters, a couple for setting, a couple for angles and maintaining camera axis/continuity (some extreme close ups of characters will be flagged in Runway)
3) DON'T add specific style references (flagging here is hit or miss, I like to err on the side of caution as generation times are long as hell)
4) use ACTION VERBS as opposed to morbid details if you're trying to get around censorship
5) SHORT prompts have a greater success rate, use detail sparingly (let the visual references work as the main source of context)

A quick and dirty short.
The cut is rough. Seedance 2.0 is incredible for single shots but multi-shot consistency is still the frontier.
Wanted to really test Seedance 2.0's capabilities with limited anchor material from Midjourney and Nano Banana, to see how well the model manages with basic references.
Despite the inconsistencies (scene, axis discontinuity), I think Seedance 2.0 has certainly surpassed Veo 3.1
Will have a more detailed write up on Seedance 2.0 later, along with more polished material than this lol

Really impressed by Seedance 2.0.
I've mostly used Veo- back to Veo 2- for client work these past 2 years, replacing it in the last 6mo with @LumaLabsAI Ray 3(.14)
I think Seedance 2.0 has an edge over Veo, but lacks the control of Veo/Luma. Though nodal set-ups solve this
