As someone actually from Oregon, this map does a good job of balancing representation from different parts of the state and letting the stateโs voice be heard in Congress. Republicans flipped a seat in 2022 so itโs also responsive to the national environment.

Democrats won 83.3% of House seats in Oregon with Kamala Harris winning 55% of the vote. They did this with a brutal 5D-1R gerrymander that Dems lied & cheated to get. They drew a geographically illogical map that split Portland 4 ways & packed Republicans into 1 district.๐งต

In OR05, @bynum4thewin beat Lori Chavez-Deremer for the third time this year, her first race for Congress. Deschutes and Clackamas were both a few points bluer than 2022 while GOP margins dropped in the rurals. LCD did manage to flip the tiny 12-person sliver of JeffCo, though!
