When I flew back from London on British Airways, they put me and the other shortest person on the flight right in front of where the stewardess sits, so we had like 4 ft in front of us. I literally could have done a HIIT workout with all that space.
I was laughing my butt off at the irony, just swinging my feet and dangling them all kinds of ways and I even got my seat neighbor to swing his feet back and forth and we had a great laugh. He was a super kewl seat neighbor from South Africa and he told me pretty fun stories of his life.
He was a farmhand in Montana for part of the year and when he went back to South Africa he would spend his time paragliding all over Africa. He was also a bonsai tree professional. He showed me pictures of all the bonsai trees he was growing, and he talked about all the wild political stuff happening in South Africa. That’s my favorite part of traveling, is learning from strangers ❤️
While him and I chit chat for that super long flight across the Atlantic, I could feel this burning gaze from the row of seats behind me diagonally. I could literally feel this guy’s frowny face while his eyes stayed fixated on my dancing legs flailing around. I couldn’t blame him because I would be mad too at the irony because he was easily 6’3 with very long legs.
I’ve been pretty lucky like that many times in my life and I think it’s because the universe appreciates when I laugh my butt off, make new friends, and get them to laugh their butt off, so God showers me with circumstances where I can do just that.
