Exceptional Minds, a non-profit academy and studio for young adults on the autism spectrum, has partnered with Cartoon Network Studios (
@CNS_Recruiting) to release a collection of four original animated shorts. These shorts were created by Exceptional Minds alumni, with support from Cartoon Network Studios artists and producers, to showcase new talent and diverse stories.
The four films, which are available on YouTube, are:
Courtesy Clerk by Craig Hills: A clerk faces the challenge of shopping for a customer's long list.
Cutting Ties by Charlotte Snare: A black and white, dialogue-free tale about dealing with toxicity.
Success by Eli Gross: A heartwarming reinterpretation of the tortoise and the hare, focusing on friendship.
Proud Bird by Dustin Noriyuki: A young pilot has an unexpected and dangerous encounter.
Over 20 Exceptional Minds students and alumni contributed to the shorts. Voice artist Rob Paulsen and the non-profit Jazz Hands for Autism also participated in the project. Lauren DeVillier, CEO of Exceptional Minds, noted the collaboration gave their artists a chance to share their stories on a larger stage.
