I don't know about this, Bizzaro is so specific to Superman in terms of how clones are handled and the lore around him that I feel like not even trying to have him be MORE skewed just make him redundant next to say Connor who is going to show up anyway.

My view on reboots like this is don't try change but keep in mind if your change is SOMEHOW less unique you know. Like OH IT'S NOT DIFFERENT FROM PREVIOUS ITERATIONS BUT HOW MANY OTHER SHOWS DO CLONES LIKE THAT YOU KNOW?

Look I'm one of the few people who was probably VERY KIND TO IT BY COMPARISON but I do think how it handled Fisto, which was MAKE it nothing but a joke then kill him off was about the same caliber of it. There is think to like in Revelation but it does joke about the franchise.
Obviously Smith never said this because he's a cool dude, but I unironically mean it when I say this scene is funnier than all of the "Haha your name is so silly!" jabs we got in the newest film.
And Revelation/Revolution didn't have insanely predictable scripts too.

Like He-man in general I always feel walks a tightrope of trying to say it's okay to have fun with this and trying to be a bit more serious and it's never an easy balance. We have to resort to maybe overselling HOW aware we are because we don't just want it to be dismissed.

I think there is a real possibility this and the Death of Doctor Strange kind of killed off Death events in Comics since I really can't remember the last time they did one like this.
I think this might have been the least impactful comic death ever? Like no one actually took this seriously.

The thing I often recommend is the 2002 cartoon for a good Updated He-man, it also introduced the modern lore like Skeltor being Keldor or He-man having an ancestor giving him a kind of legacy hero status

Actually that’s kind of the point Goku isn’t fighting for himself so he feels hollow. He never fought for fun only for Frieza so he wants a wish to figure out what to ask for

Mark death came as a sudden shock because of how out of nowhere it seemed plus he was at the time the captain America guy and so when the comic hit around that time it turned into a dark fandom joke

If I had to map a general arc for the series, it's the Shreader becoming a kinder person over time and the turtles showing more of their classic characters as time goes on, most of the turtles issues coming from lacking confidence in who they are
