Just got back from seeing "Masters of the Universe" with my son.
A few thoughts (no worries, no spoilers):
Based on other reviews of the film, it largely met my expectations. It did indeed make fun of "woke" culture, especially office culture, some crude humor, but subtle enough younger audiences should miss a lot of it.
In many places the entire audience laughed out loud, and some scenes were quite touching and thoughtful.
It didn't mind making fun of itself and no preaching, which was refreshing.
The special effects were really good, but the actors and the plot itself carried the movie. The CGI merely set the stage, so to speak, and it wasn't visually spectacular merely for the sake of being spectacular.
The music score was also excellent, and I was even able to guess who the composer was (hint: the same one who did "Project Hail Mary").
I give it a solid 8/10.
