Greatness and Goodness
Greatness is not the throne one claims,
Nor glory wrapped in shining names;
It is the hand that lifts the weak,
The truth the humble dare to speak.
Goodness walks in silent grace,
A gentle light in a hurried race;
Not loud with pride, nor dressed in fame,
Yet warms the world without a name.
For mountains rise and kingdoms fall,
And echoes fade from crowded halls;
But hearts made kind, with purpose true,
Leave footprints time cannot undo.
The truly great are quietly strong,
Who right the weak and brave the wrong;
For greatness blooms where goodness stays,
A timeless fire through darkest days.
To conquer self, to stand for right,
To turn despair toward hope and light
This is the path the noble tread,
Where goodness walks and greatness spreads.
