I would bet that 95% of active LDS members aren’t aware there’s an earlier version of the First Vision written by Joseph himself.
Joseph Smith did not ask, “Is there a true church on the earth.” He asked, “Which church should he join.” Going into the grove he assumed at least one had to be true. He wanted to find it and join it. What a powerful insight from Truman Madsen.

“Different Jesus” refers to full ontology and theology, not humanity or empirical history.
“You guys believe in another Jesus” is a dishonest debate tactic. Imagine doing that with any other historical person. “You guys believe in a different Julius Caesar.” “You guys believe in a different George Washington.”

Mormons: “Apostles can be wrong.” Also Mormons: “Apostles told us that apostles are necessary.”
“Biblical prophets and apostles always had accurate theology”

Do everyday Mormons actually have any sense for what is demonic? They mostly block our accounts on here, but I’ll ask anyways. 3 questions. 1. Do demons (Lucifer and his followers or other demonic creatures) actually exist? 2. If demons exist, do they have any ability to influence (aka tempt) people? 3. If they exist and influence, in what specific ways do can they influence? What are the demons’ behaviors by which they influence or the effects we experience? I think the LDS answer always reduces to “I feel it”, so I’m hoping for more substantive answers.
Catholics: Mormonism is Demonic Also Catholics: “Sometimes burning people alive for wrong think is the right move”

Straight from the Mormon’s mouth. There is no reason to convert to LDS because “if you think that God would send us--His [literal children]--to [anything below the highest degree of the Celestial Kingdom] forever on technicalities…”
The theory that the Book of Mormon was inspired by the demonic in order to sow confusion and make people worship the "wrong Jesus"--a Jesus who teaches us to live our lives in the exact same way that the "real" Jesus does--really only carries weight if you think that God would send us--His creations--to burn in Hell forever on a technicality. Eternal torment because you chose the wrong denomination in this short, confusing life--because If you DO believe in a just and loving God--a God that's going to judge us based on the character of our hearts and our desire to serve Him--then a book that brings people closer to Christ simply CAN'T be demonic. In the end, don't all good things come from God?

Moroni’s Trap is sufficient proof the BoM was not divinely inspired. It’s the most cultish thing about Mormonism.
Ted Bundy claimed an angel appeared to him and gave him a pseudorandom sequence of 6,500,000 alphanumeric characters. Despite the fact that the historical evidence indicates that Bundy originally claimed that he received this list from a demon, if anyone wants to challenge the claim that Bundy's pseudorandom sequence was divinely inspired, they need to have read all 2,600 pages of this pseudorandom sequence of characters from cover-to-cover. It will not suffice to have read a representative sample of 100 pages. In fact, it's not even good enough if you've read 800 pages of the list. You need to read all 2600 pages to be qualified to debate. Here is a brief teaser. If you read this and pray about it, perhaps God will inspire you to read the rest: "a3%ergqwerwywyht4h5wy2gwg5ve4s^QQ*%Wqreqrewfwerfqwfwergerbtdtrxf5650dsfa9sdfadfasf()dfasdfasfascs!@@@@@5wt5twg5vte446h6e5h5h6e^"

I may just start to copy/paste LDS responses to each other 🤫 Same thread. Two Mormons. 100% contradiction. Neither addressing my actual argument. This is a frequent occurrence. First guy has the correct LDS doctrine btw.

True and Apostolic Christianity, called eastern or Orthodox Christianity is the only faith to have true and miracle working God-bearing elders. We are the one, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church maintaining a continuous witness for thousands of years defending the faith once delivered to the Saints. We are the only church that maintains the prophetic and ascetic spirit of biblical faith. We possess the true Holy Relics and sacred sites of the Church. Our holy images stream healing myrrh as a window to heaven. They possess the fountain of immortality, the true faith and light. Everything else is creeds and confessions, intellect and the foolish wisdom of men. We are not the church of creeds and confessions though we have both. We are the church of Theosis. We don’t teach about Christ we become like Christ. No other “Christian” ideology contains the keys of the Apostles. No others have God Bearing Ascetic elders who help us even after their repose. Not one. “This is the faith of the apostles! This is the faith of the fathers! This is the faith of the Orthodox! This is the faith on which the world is established!”

What a great reminder of what the Gospel really entails. The Good News is often difficult to swallow. This is the TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ youtu.be/15D9iZqs8sQ?is=ABgG… via @YouTube

I have some serious work to do…
Replying to @SabaIsper
Humility is essential to authentic witness. Love and humility reveal Christ more effectively than arguments and debates.

Heavenly Father not only extended the offer of being “created” to Lucifer and a third of the hosts of heaving, knowing they would be cast into outer darkness, he then chose to “create” Lucifer and that third. Heavenly Father had 2 opportunities to save Lucifer from outer darkness. He chose not to. That’s not a loving father. That’s an evil god.
I was genuinely surprised in my conversation with @emuse1955 that God created the vast majority of people knowing they are going to hell where he will punish them eternally when he could have just chose not to create them.

I wonder if these stripling keyboard warriors ever tire of putting themselves above God.
I really hope Mormonism is true - because if not - Joseph Smith created a better religion than God

I keep seeing this from LDSX. I have to question the motives for those concerned about it. If you believe you’re Christian, then the military’s classification shouldn’t bother you. So why does it bug LDSX so much? Ultimately, I think the reactions on both sides are rooted in vanity and pride; one side is worrying about what people think of them, and the other desiring some form of exclusivity. And I’m guilty of both. The longer I am Orthodox, the more I am confused at this type of stuff. Call Orthodox non-Christian, and I think the most you’d get are some raised eyebrows. Then we’ll turn back to Liturgy, prayer, and our duties. Because in our minds, Orthodox is synonymous with Christian. But the titles given throughout scripture and history ultimately aren’t meaningful to the body of Christ.
LATTER-DAY SAINTS JUST GOT RECLASSIFIED AS “NON-CHRISTIAN” BY THE U.S. MILITARY UNDER PETE HEGSETH. 🧵 But here’s the truth they can NEVER change: LATTER-DAY SAINTS ARE CHRISTIANS. We believe in Jesus Christ as our literal Savior and Redeemer. His name is in our Church’s official name. We take His name upon us. We worship Him daily. The Pentagon can rewrite a list, but truth stands forever.

John 4:6 “Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.” This seemingly mundane passage hit me for some reason. 1. Jesus wearied. There’s a draw to continually push and persevere, and to feel weak if we lack the will to continue working. Even the God man wearied and rested. Wow, maybe I can be less hard on myself. 2. Sat by the well. When wearied, he chose a well, a symbol of life and of Himself. Seek recovery in the Grace of God (prayer, scripture, giving, etc.), not in social media, video games, etc. 3. Jacob’s well was there. We are blessed by the efforts of those that came before. Gratitude is due to many that came before us. 4. Wearied from His journey. In balancing with #1, he had put in work. He journeyed, then rested. It’s too easy to procrastinate with rest first… “I’ll do it right after this video.” Generally, make rest a reward after work. Thoughts or other deeper meaning you gather from this?

When the structure of Mormonism breaks down and all the negatives on your “shelf” crash to the ground, it can feel like there’s nowhere to turn. Just know the beautiful things that never made it onto your shelf are remnants of the original, historic Church established by Christ. Mormonism broke you a bit. Keep those beautiful parts within you and come be healed within the body of Christ. youtu.be/vxLYs1VcTkc?is=2r-L…

I’m finding LDS X pretty stale lately. Go to Divine Liturgy and experience scripture’s true purpose as a text for worship. youtube.com/watch?v=ijwj2CVe…

Is there a way to create a Wall of Shame on my timeline, showing all the fruits of fear LDS have regarding dialogue. Discussion of your and other worldviews requires risking your worldview. If you’re not ready for that degree of sincere searching, it’s okay. Simply not engaging is an option.
