Why is the Kentucky Derby a great betting proposition even as Kentucky horse racing lets CAWs feast on their most loyal bettors? And what would 17.5% takeout correspond to on a basketball side or total? Find out in our latest amateurish whiteboard video.

She’s Dennis Rodman, which is a very good thing if you play to your strengths.
I blame @geoffschwartz for getting me going. All I was doing was watching hockey and soccer. Why is Angel Reese shooting 3s? She went 0-4 last night. She's 2-17 on the season and 9-55 in her career. Go rebound, get putbacks, defend. You're not helping the team shooting 3s.

Hired Damon Stoudamire at Georgia Tech. Stoudamire led Tech to a 19-39 mark in ACC play.
Sources: Michigan State AD J Batt has emerged as the target of Kentucky’s Athletic Director search. The deal is not finalized, but Kentucky is amid a strong push to bring Batt back to the SEC.

The most insane pitching performance I have ever seen. Jacob Misiorowski allows 1 hit, faces the minimum and strikes out 15 on under 100 pitches There are no comparable starts in MLB history

Regrettably, the NCAA still refuses to staff its selection committees with anyone except athletic directors and commissioners.
More news: NCAA announces the men's basketball selection committee is cycling on Notre Dame AD Pete Bevacqua, Ole Miss AD Keith Carter, MVC commish Jeff Jackson and Northwestern AD Mark Jackson. They'll replace the outgoing Keith Gill, Greg Byrne, Mark Coyle and John Wildhack.

Scored 3 runs or less in 37 of their first 65 games.
History! 2026 Red Sox become the first team since 1901 to have the first three hitters in their order all strike out in their first three at bats of a game. 125 years!

Total handle for @BelmontStakes week increased 2% despite a 45% reduction in CAW play. CAW was 20% of @TheNYRA's handle last year at Saratoga; it was 11% this year. horseracingnation.com/news/B…

By supporting @TheNYRA product, players not only benefit individually by having a more level playing field where CAWs are throttled, but we benefit collectively by sending a powerful message to NYRA and all tracks that we will choose to play only where we have a fighting chance.

The “guardrails” put in place by @TheNYRA in an attempt to limit the wagering of the computer assisted wagering players (CAW) had a clear impact over the five-day Belmont Stakes Festival at Saratoga. Read @BillFinley3’s report ⬇️ thoroughbreddailynews.com/ca…

Remembering the amount of eligibility lost by Iowa & Iowa State players in 2023. Most for such minor infractions, a couple bets here and there not even on their own sport.
Judge Ken Curry found the damage to Brendan Sorsby's career for gambling on his own team's games more important than protecting the integrity of college football, and so Sorsby is now eligible to play for Texas Tech this fall. footballscoop.com/2026/06/08…

Regarding the Sorsby Ruling, a few thoughts. 1. Duh. If you ever deciphered a single episode of Three’s Company, you could see this one coming like Mr. Furley from downstairs. Not shocked in the least. 2. Mid-wits in sports media (e.g. Bilas) have been making the NCAA out to be some kind of evil bogeyman, when they were always just the referee. Quick whistle? Sure. Ticky tack calls sometime? Yeah. But somebody had to call the damn game. Now the ref is stuffed in the trunk of a Buick by the courts, and we got what we got. 3. We’re not allowed by karma rules to root for injuries, but let me just say, God forbid… I wouldn’t be sad. 4. Don’t forget Sorsby is also making MILLIONS in his “paper route” like shakedown of several schools via NIL. 5. You can still watch the games and enjoy. Wager lightly, as it’s quite certain now some of the players have juice in just about every game. And stop caring. Thats the key. You just can’t care anymore. It’s too stupid. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

After a near miss in January by the Indiana Hoosiers the Knicks are a threat to top the seemingly unbreakable “brand new merchandise purchased by people who had never previously mentioned they were fans of the team” record held by the 2001 Patriots.
