FBI Phoenix hosted “A Career as an FBI Special Agent”, offering attendees an inside look at the application process from FBI applicant coordinators.
Participants heard from FBI Phoenix management about what the FBI looks for in aspiring Special Agent applicants and gained valuable insight into the responsibilities of serving as a case agent and investigator through a detailed case brief.
The evening concluded with hands-on demonstrations from specialty teams including Bomb Technicians, SWAT, Crisis Negotiators, the Evidence Response Team, and TOC — highlighting the collaboration and expertise behind every mission.

IN CUSTODY: Said Abdullahi Ereg – the FIRST EVER arrest of a “Most Wanted Fraudsters” since the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud released our Most Wanted Fraudsters list last week. Ereg just landed in Minneapolis and was taken into custody after turning himself in. He has been wanted on federal charges since 2024.
Ereg allegedly stole over $4 million from the Federal Child Nutrition Program in Minneapolis during the COVID-19 pandemic from 2020-2021. He allegedly falsely claimed to have served meals to children in need, claiming fake reimbursements from the government, and then laundered the money through foreign accounts to fund a lavish lifestyle. He is charged with Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud, Wire Fraud, and Money Laundering.
When @VP Vance led the way for the Most Wanted Fraudsters list through the @WhiteHouse @WHFraudTF – this was exactly the righteous goal the Task Force had in mind – to bring to justice all those who have stolen money from hardworking American taxpayers. 🚨The #FBI is issuing a PSA to warn the public about cyber threat actors spoofing the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) website in advance of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. A spoofed website is designed to pose as a legitimate website, with branding, product listings, etc., and criminals use them for illegal activity like stealing your personal information and money.
TIPS to PROTECT YOURSELF:
➡️When navigating to FIFA's official website, type fifa.com directly into the address bar located at the top of your Internet browser.
➡️If using a search engine, avoid any "sponsored" results as these can be paid imitators looking to deter traffic from the legitimate FIFA website.
➡️Verify the FIFA website URL ends in [.]com and is correctly entered as fifa.com.

The @FBIPhoenix Field Office participated in the Bryan Brown Youth Academy again this year. The weeklong camp helps build positive connections between law enforcement and youth from the Tohono O'odham Nation. Throughout the week, FBI personnel taught CPR and first aid, demonstrated evidence-collection techniques, and guided participants through a mock crime-scene investigation.
The academy honors Tohono O'odham Police Officer Bryan Brown, who was killed in the line of duty in 2020.

FBI Tucson was honored to participate in Bryan Brown Youth Academy again this year. The weeklong camp connects kids from the Tohono O'odham tribal community to law enforcement.

FBI Tucson and @IRS_CI arrested Brandon Aaron Kreutz, formerly known as Brandon Aaron Moushey, 40, of Oro Valley, AZ, last Tuesday after being charged with Wire Fraud and Money Laundering.
Kreutz is alleged to have defrauded three victims of approximately $10.9 million between May 2023, through the present.
Anyone with information regarding this alleged scheme or who may have fallen victim to the scheme are encouraged to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or online at tips.fbi.gov.
