ALT The Texas Undergraduate Medical Academy will be providing a 3-day college preparation overnight camp featuring academic workshops in math, English, research, time management, professionalism, and study skills. Students will also earn their American College of Surgeons Stop The Bleed certification. The program is designed for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are interested in pursuing a career in medicine or the health sciences. During the camp, participants will have the opportunity to learn from our highly qualified faculty and staff, talk to UMA alumni and current students, participate in games and activities, and take a day trip to visit a medical school. ALT ARTEC - Architecture Enrichment Camp ARTEC is offered to high school Freshman through Junior students (ages 15 – 17) interested in exploring architecture, construction science, art, and digital media arts. ARTEC is offered by the School of Architecture. Students will stay on campus for one week, work on design projects, and be prepared to work on the graphic design of the interactive media of the building design. ALT The Young Business Leaders (YBL) Summer Program is a week-long residential program designed to introduce talented high school students to the field of business and career options. Students are challenged to solve problems using basic business principles taught in the program by PVAMU business faculty and through interaction with business students. Enriching presentations, experiential learning exercises, and projects inspire and motivate students to aspire to careers in marketing, accounting, entrepreneurship, management, finance, and information systems.
