When Karlsson won his Norris trophies he had 101 points and was -26 in 2022-23, and had 82 points and was a -2 in 2015-16 Bouchard has 95 points and is 25 If the NHL writers don’t give Bouchard the Norris because of his defensive game then they are massive hypocrites.

The #Norris race is heating up in the #NHL. Up until 2 weeks ago I'd have said it's neck & neck between two guys - #Bouchard & #Werenski. Last 8 games: Zach: 3pts, -5 Bouch: 12pts, 8 (!!) IMO, debate ended there. Anyone but Bouch winning proves it's a PR trophy at this point.

Bouchard should win the Norris because he leads all defencemen in scoring, drives elite 55% possession and expected goal rates at 5v5, posts one of the league’s best on-ice goal differentials. The only reason he isn’t the frontrunner is narrative bias not performance.
