What causes earthquakes, and where are the fault lines? What did we notice about the country Italy in comparison to where we are situated on the tectonic plate? Great learning and understanding in today's geography lesson @FHTGeography @GreenwoodSch

This webinar explains what it means for pupils to get better in #geography. This is based on the idea of quality in the geography research review. Watch this video for insights into how you can consider what the principles might mean for your curriculums. ow.ly/5vMk50MN0rf

Is the earth flat? Where is Europe? What is the capital of Italy? These were just a few of the questions that were asked today during our geography lesson. Year 3 enjoyed exploring the length of the world using an atlas 🌎 @FHTGeography @GreenwoodSch @MissMiles16

Where had the best food in Europe? I wonder what our Year 3s think after their 'something special,' food tasting afternoon? Olives anyone? Or maybe Haggis? 🤔 @GreenwoodSch @FHTGeography @MissMiles16

What a fantastic outcome from your Geography enquiry - well done 👏
Last term, we asked ‘What is the solution to river pollution?’ - we petitioned in Hucknall and collected signatures, which we sent along with a letter to our MP, Mark Spencer. Today, we received his response and the children extremely proud of their work.

Johnson class had a great time using the VR headsets. They have been up close and personal with lions, jaguars, rhinos and arctic foxes. After, they flew across deserts, tundras and forests.

In Autumn, Nursery made posters about our town as a result of their enquiry: Where do I belong? The council have made a banner of their artwork which is displayed in Sutton-in-Ashfield near Costa Coffee in the market place. 🌟Well done Nursery!!! 🌟 @FHTGeography
