Every year on #YomKippur I am haunted by the young beautiful faces I saw in Tel Saki, in the #Golan Heights. Young religious boys who woke up on #YomKippur 1973, praying and fasting, fought heroically saving Israel & did not live to the end of the day. "אחי שלא שבו מהתל" 😢🕯️

#OTD in 1912, RAOUL WALLENBERG was born. A Swede, he was recruited by US War Refugee Board to save Hungarian Jews from Nazis. Fearless, driven & ingenious, he rescued 1000s. But then, tragically, the Soviets seized him in 1945. Never seen again. Eternal hero & inspiration.
