Dear Twitter followers,
Today it's FND Awareness Day! Functional Neurological Disorder is a genuine and disabling disorder. More recognition and awareness of FND is important. Traditionally abandoned, now there are endeavours ongoing to improve the outcomes for FND!
Great opportunity for colleagues to see the excellent Dr Allan Abbass present on @ISTDP for #FND - including a theoretical overview, how to identify when the treatment is indicated, & moment-to-moment analysis of it's application using video examples.

Hands up if you have never heard of Functional Neurological Disorder. 🙋♀️🙋
There will be lots of people who haven't, so please retweet this!
Lets use today to be the #Voices4FND together. #FNDfndawarenessday.org.uk

Functional Neurological Disorder is a condition that affects how the brain/nervous system sends and receives messages through the body. A person can not consciously control these messages when they go wrong.
It's a disorder, not a decision.
